Answer to Question 2

Energy requirements:
30-35 kcal/kg x 56.8 kg = 1705-1989 or 1700-2000 kcal/kg
The 30-35 kcal/kg nomogram was chosen since she is fairly active and her IBW was used to estimate her needs. To continue weight loss, she should aim for 1300-1500 kcal/day (500 kcal/day deficit with 1300 kcal/day being the minimum).

Protein requirements:
1.0-1.2 g/kg x 56.8 kg = 57-68 g/day
This range was chosen as she is a non-stressed cancer patient.
