Good answers will explain the concept of the plain view doctrine and include the facts and circumstances of the Coolidge v. New Hampshire case. The three requirements should be discussed (police must be lawfully present, items must be immediately apparent, and discovery must be inadvertent) while also including the Arizona v. Hicks and Horton v. California cases.
