Answers will vary. In respect to African-American's answers should address how they have been persecuted by almost of the three main right-wing movement, and can focus on the KKK. The Jewish community, likewise, has also been persecuted by many of the right-wing groups, but answers can focus on the ne-Nazi groups. Racist violence toward the Chicanos who wore zoot suits occurred during WWII. The zoot suits were seen as a waste of material, which could be used to go towards the war effort, so there were a number of clashes between the servicemen and the Chicano. The attack on Pearl Harbor led the American government to fear an invasion by Japanese military so Japanese-Americans were placed in secured internment camps as a means of national security. They were forced to abandon their homes and businesses and the Army discharged all Japanese-American citizens. The Chinese immigrated to America in response to the gold found in Sutter's Mill. They were quickly forced into menial jobs, like the railroads, and during the economic depression of 1873-1879, they were considered a threat to white jobs, and racist laws regulating the Chinese were passed. Congress even enacted the Chinese Exclusion Act which barred Chinese immigration. Irish immigrants were at the bottom of societies latter in pre-revolution America because of the long rebellious history between Ireland and England. They were given job that were considered too dangerous for the African-American slaves.
