Answer to Question 1

C

Answer to Question 2

Brecht rejected climactic structure because of the close emotional involvement with the characters it elicits from the audience and because its denouements leave the audience feeling that all has been resolved in the world. Episodic structure, on the other hand, with its constant shifting of time, place, and characters, keeps the audience at an emotional distance from the action, so spectators can rationally determine the social conditions that caused the characters' problems and better contemplate necessary social change. Brecht believed that the climatic structure of the Aristotelian theatre showed characters whose actions are determined by who they are, unlike his epic theatre, in which actions are determined by social and economic circumstances.

Although the Roman numeral for the number 4 has always been taught to have been "IV," according to historians, the ancient Romans probably used "IIII" most of the time. This is partially backed up by the fact that early grandfather clocks displayed IIII for the number 4 instead of IV. Early clockmakers apparently thought that the IIII balanced out the VIII (used for the number 8) on the clock face and that it just looked better.
