Answer to Question 1

ANSWER: The definitions of creativity and giftedness overlap, but they do not necessarily go hand in hand. A person may be intellectually gifted but not very creative, or highly creative but not intellectually gifted. Persons may also be gifted in areas other than intelligence, such as defined by Gardner.

Answer to Question 2

ANSWER: Answers should include a description of the periods that are included in early childhood: sensorimotor, preoperational, transitional, and concrete operations. The fundamental concepts (classification, conservation, seriation, and causality) should also be included.
