Answer to Question 1

Stress signals occur in two ways. First, the body can make a chemical known as a hormone and send the stress message to the rest of the body. The signal can also come from the nervous system when the nerves send a message to the brain and rest of the body. Stress is a survival tool that has been present for ages. The stress response helps in emergencies and other situations that people may emotionally respond to.

Answer to Question 2

Exposure to second-hand smoke is associated with SIDS deaths, asthma, and allergies.

Early clockmakers apparently thought that the IIII balanced out the VIII (used for the number 8) on the clock face and that it just looked better.
