The self-discipline approach focuses on helping students to control and modify their own behavior. Examples include: reality therapy, inner discipline, Kounin Model, Jones Model. The deist approach makes the teacher the responsible party, in that they have the power and set specific rules to give students discipline and correct student behaviors. Examples include assertive discipline and behavior modification.
