Answer: Neurogenesis refers to the production of new nerve cells and involves two major processes. During symmetrical division, founder cells divide into two cells. During asymmetric division, the founder cells divide into another founder cell and a new neuron.

Answer: The system includes the limbic cortex, the amygdala, the hippocampus, and the mammillary bodies. The regulation of emotional experience is the primary function of the limbic system.
