Authentic Assessment

Student Activity: Develop a survey to be distributed to two groups: individuals over age 60 and individuals under age 21. In your survey, include questions addressing the following areas:

∙ Preschool and kindergarten opportunities;
∙ Equal education for males and females;
∙ Education preparation for career choices (i.e., were males tracked toward different career choices than women?);
∙ Extracurricular activities for males and females; and
∙ Gender of teachers in elementary and secondary; gender of administrators.
Administer your survey to at least three people in each of the two groups. Prepare a summary report comparing and contrasting the two groups.
