The patient sustained a tear of the right medial meniscus and underwent a meniscus repair on the day of admission. On video arthroscopy he was found to have a tear of the posterior horn of the medial meniscus, and this was repaired. The patellofemoral joint was within normal limits. Local anesthesia was given for postoperative pain control. The surgical site was dressed and the patient returned to the recovery room in stable condition.
