Why should you encourage a friend who is getting divorced to try mediation?
 
  a. you should not encourage your friend to mediate a divorce since litigation is better
  b. mediation costs less, takes a shorter amount of time, and a civil relationship is possible
   c. the mediator will actually try to keep the couple together so they cancel the divorce
   d. the couple will learn to trust each other since the agreement is not legal
