 Longitudinal study conducted by independent research team; across multiple settings and with diverse samples
 Included groups that received medication, behavioral treatment, combined treatment and community care
 Improved outcomes for those in combined treatment (medication and behavioral treatment) although results didn't last over time
 Various treatments addressed differing behavioral symptoms
 Follow-up studies indicate that core ADHD symptoms continue over time and resulted in problems with jobs, substance abuse and co-occurring psychiatric disorders
 Early, effective treatment associated with long-term improvement
