Canadian researchers in Edmonton have found that elderly women:
 
  a) Have higher rates of depression than men between the ages of 65-74 but this difference dissipates after age 85.
  b) Have lower rates of depression than do elderly men in general, regardless of age group.
  c) Have higher rates of depression than do elderly men in general, regardless of age group.
