Answer to Question 1

D

Answer to Question 2

It is well-established that a lack of predictability and control creates stress. Safety signals
are environment cues that signal when it is appropriate to relax. For example, if you knew
your boss was always in a good mood on Friday, it might be safe to relax and not worry
about a mistake you made. The fact that it is Friday would serve as a safety signal. The
rest of the week, however, you should feel anxious about having made a mistake. When
safety signals are present, it signals that one can relax. In the absence of such signals,
anxiety prevails, providing a possible explanation for generalized anxiety disorder.

There are major differences in the metabolism of morphine and the illegal drug heroin. Morphine mostly produces its CNS effects through m-receptors, and at k- and d-receptors. Heroin has a slight affinity for opiate receptors. Most of its actions are due to metabolism to active metabolites (6-acetylmorphine, morphine, and morphine-6-glucuronide).
