Answer to Question 1

B

Answer to Question 2

In the U.S., males are more likely to commit suicide while females are more likely to attempt suicide. This difference holds across the age span and may be due to the fact that males choose more lethal means of ending their lives. For adolescent males, risk factors include mood disorders, previous attempts, substance abuse, conduct disorder, and the presence of a firearm in the home. For females, previous attempts, mood disorders, and presence of a handgun in the home increase risk.
