Argentina is mainly flat on the eastern side, 'Pampas' north to south till it meets up with the Andes in the west.  In that region there are beautiful mountain lakes and ski areas. . . .part of Patagonia.  The south westerlies blow hard and trees and grass are permanently bent towards the north west.  In the North east the Rio De La Plata separates it from Uruguay while a little north the Rio Parana separates it from Paraguay.  Down in the south east at the lower latitudes are the Falkland Islands, disputed British territory.  The Magellan Strait separates Tierra Del Fuego from the South American continent, however, this Island is Argentina on the east and Chile on the west.
