Answer to Question 1

B

Answer to Question 2

Describe three potential advantages and three potential disadvantages of Internet dating. Advantages, 3 points, 1 each for any of the following:
- Could save time by finding out about similar likes and dislikes before having to meet face-to-face
- The level of anonymous disclosure may make people feel like they can be more honest
- The level of anonymous disclosure may make people able to establish more intimacy quicker
- Changes the focus from appearance to common interests
- It might help shy people (people having trouble relating to others) or handicapped people express themselves more easily

Disadvantages, 3 points, 1 each for any of the following:
- People can lie about themselves, creating unreal expectations or a false sense of intimacy when they actually meet
- There might be discomfort when you actually meet because of intimate conversations online, or because you might feel that the other person knows too much about you and you might not want to pursue the relationship, or because some of the things you said weren't exactly true
- There are unscrupulous people, crazy people, and predators; the Internet might make it easier for them to find victims
- Putting too much personal information in cyberspace can cause problems if it reaches a larger audience
