Answer to Question 1

Toddlers with their baby fat, protruding bellies, large heads, short limbs, and round
faces develop into taller, leaner, more muscular children with body proportions that
are more adultlike. The changes support physical skill development in that children
acquire many motor skills during this time: they are steadier on their feet, are
quicker to respond, and have better muscle control.

these structures is found in Figure 8.2 on page 213 of the text.
