Answer to Question 1

The answer should summarize the characteristics of high-quality day care found in
Table 7.4 on page 201 of the text. The advantages of center day care should also be
discussed.

Answer to Question 2

The answer might reflect some of the societal concerns about such an arrangement.
The answer should, however, recognize that there is no reason why a stay-at-home
father cannot care for the child equally as well as the mother. If, however, the father
only interacts with the child in the traditional fatherly way, then this might have
negative consequences on the child's development. For example, fathers typically
engage in a lot of interactive and sometimes competitive play time with their
children, while mothers tend to teach during play time. It is important that both of
these types of activities be present.

Chronic necrotizing aspergillosis has a slowly progressive process that, unlike invasive aspergillosis, does not spread to other organ systems or the blood vessels. It most often affects middle-aged and elderly individuals, spreading to surrounding tissue in the lungs. The disease often does not respond to conventionally successful treatments, and requires individualized therapies in order to keep it from becoming life-threatening.

Your skin wrinkles if you stay in the bathtub a long time because the outermost layer of skin (which consists of dead keratin) swells when it absorbs water. It is tightly attached to the skin below it, so it compensates for the increased area by wrinkling. This happens to the hands and feet because they have the thickest layer of dead keratin cells.
