What is the purpose of a center differential?
 
  A) Holds vehicle on a hill when the brakes are released
  B) Keeps rear wheels locked together
  C) Allows front and rear axles to turn at different speeds
  D) Routes torque to the center wheels

Question 2

Technician A says that the gear ratios of both differentials are the same in a four-wheel-drive vehicle. Technician B says that the rear differential has a slightly higher ratio (lower number) than the front differential. Which technician is correct?
