Michael Haddle contended that Garrison and Kelly conspired to have him fired in retaliation for his grand jury cooperation causing injury to his person or property. The Court of Appeals believed that he had suffered no actual injury under the facts alleged in the complaint because he had no constitutionally protected interest in the property in questionhis jobsince employment at will is not constitutionally protected property for purpose of the Due Process Clause.
