Answer to Question 1

ANS: C
1-Antitrypsin deficiency is suggested in individuals who develop emphysema before 40 years of age; it is not due to viral infections. Changes in the lungs are not associated with alveolar macro-phage destruction or with fibrotic lung disease.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: C
Nosocomial infections are acquired in the hospital. Nosocomial infections are not associated with daycare centers or airplanes and may happen in any season.
