Phagocytosis is the process of the ingestion of a pathogen by macrophages.

Answer to Question 2

B
PMS occur during the luteal stage, which lasts from day 15 to day 28 of a 28-day cycle. The uterus prepares to receive a fertilized ovum during this phase. The follicular phase includes the first 14 days of a 28-day cycle. During this dismantling stage, the endometrial layer sloughs away and menstrual flow begins. During the proliferative stage of the menstrual cycle, the follicle grows and the egg matures.
