Answer to Question 1

Correct Answer: 4
The lesions need to be kept clean and dry. It is safe to use mild soap and water. Rubbing alcohol would cause burning of the lesions and should not be used. Nylon panties will promote moisture and reduce ventilation to the perineal area and should not be worn. It is important to wear loose cotton clothing that will not trap moisture and to avoid wearing panty hose and tight jeans.

Answer to Question 2

Correct Answer: 1, 2, 4, 5
Imiquimod, an immune response modifier, is used in the treatment of HPV warts and reduces neoplasia. Surgical resection is the usual treatment for cancer of the vulva. If lymph nodes are involved, radiation therapy is used postoperatively. Chemotherapy is reserved for distant metastases. Hormone therapy is not used in the treatment of cancer of the vulva.
