Answer to Question 1

Correct Answer: 1
Bulimia nervosa is a disorder in which patients eat large quantities of foods and then purge themselves by means of vomiting. Laxatives also may be employed. Anorexia nervosa patients display behaviors in which intake is avoided and excessive exercise rituals are initiated. Patients with binge eating disorders will eat large amounts of food. They are often overweight. There is no evidence to support the patient having a metabolic disorder.

Answer to Question 2

Correct Answer: 1
An inadequate oral intake negatively impacts all physiological processes. This is the priority for the patient at this time. The patient's psychological problems can be addressed after physiological issues are stabilized.
