A friend confides that he goes around his house 3-4 times to check that all lights are turned off before leaving for work in the morning. He asks the nurse Do you think I have an obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)?
 
  To help identify criteria defining the disorder, the nurse should ask:
 
  1. Have you ever considered purchasing an automatic timing device to turn out the lights at a designated time?
