Answer to Question 1

Feedback
1. The puncture wound can be present, but not indicate infection.
2. Blanching and swelling can be present because of the tissue damage, but they are not a direct link to infection.
3. Pain and drainage indicate infection.
4. Bruising is common and does not indicate infection.

Answer to Question 2

B
Poisons should never be put in household containers. Labeling will not help children this age, because they cannot read. Medications should still be kept out of reach. Parents should not rely solely on childproof lids to keep children from obtaining access to medications.
