Answer to Question 1

C
Healthy young women do not usually need iron supplementation for their diets. Morning sickness in the first trimester increases the routine side effects of iron supplements. Vitamin supplements should be prescribed in the second trimester, when the need for iron is increased. The iron supplement vitamins may continue to be prescribed in the third trimester and during the postpartum period.

Answer to Question 2

A
Before the mother-in-law has the opportunity to take over, the mother needs to state her own desire to care for the infant.
