The top sogo shoshas are Itochu Corp., Sumitomo, Marubeni, Mitsui and Mitsubishi. Japanese export trading companies (i.e.,. sogo shoshas) are facing competition from Honda, Sony and Toyota, which have set up their own direct export-sales networks.
