You are called to see a 6-month-old infant. The mother's chief complaint is that the child has been irritable for the last few days, is not feeding well, is sweaty, and is just not acting right. On exam, you find a fussy infant who wants the bottle. Respirations are 40/min. The skin is pink but is cool distally. Capillary refill is two seconds. Pulses are very rapid at about 300/min. The ECG shows a narrow complex tachycardia with no P waves visible. You should:
