Answer to Question 1

Efficiency is the means of achieving the economic performance necessary for the organization's survival. Performance, in the context of efficiency, means accomplishing a set of goals in a way that uses the optimal level of resources while generating the optimal level of output. A key element of efficiency is comparing the level of work output with the resources provided for doing the work.

Answer to Question 2

God gave humans the responsibility to work, subdue and care for the earth, and care for each other. Created in the image of God, humans participate in the ongoing process of creation by creating new things, solving problems, and innovating in the physical, social, and spiritual or moral dimensions of life. Together we create a culture of shared values. All these fundamental ideas have direct implications for the work of a manager who, at every level, is required to solve problems, innovate, and build a culture based on values and ethics.
