Answer to Question 1

Answer: FALSE

Answer to Question 2

Answer: Succession planning is the process of ensuring that qualified persons are available to assume key managerial positions once the positions are vacant because of untimely deaths, resignations, terminations, or retirements. The goal is to help ensure a smooth transition and operational efficiency. In recent years, succession planning is going much deeper into the workforce. In the past, succession planning focused on the top level of the company but not the levels where all the work was performed. Firms are moving away from traditional succession planning and expanding succession planning programs into middle management.
