Answer to Question 1

The conceptual modeling of the system structure is not concerned with the concrete layering or packaging of objects or components. Its primary concern is to discover, define, relate, and represent building blocks of the information system that are independent from design and the technology used to implement the design. In conceptual modeling, however, we focus on concepts: a car has an engine that powers four wheels (concepts), not whether the engine is in the back or in the front (design), nor the exact radius of the axles (physical model).
