Whether or how to use packaging depends on the complexity of the system, the context of the problem, judgment, and experience. One thing that we must avoid is to package because it seems sophisticated or proves that we are masters of UML. Do not take lightly the effort needed to create and maintain packages. Packaging without a clear vision and good planning would create more problems than it can resolve.
