Answer to Question 1

1. Eliminate some meetings especially when the purpose of the meeting is to inform the members of project status.
2. Better preparation for meetings If all of the required components of the meeting are not available the meeting can be cancelled or rescheduled. Computer conferencing enables participants to span distances and improves participation.
3. Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of meetings more effective ideas can be generated by the group when everyone is more actively involved.

Answer to Question 2

The DBMS approach takes a data-oriented view to integration. DBMS allow applications to share data stored in a single or distributed database. The applications can come from a number of sources, but often employ a common DBMS architecture. This approach is particularly appropriate when business applications tend to use the same set of data, even if these data are physically stored at different locations and is true for most management information systems.
