Answer to Question 1

Organizations will become more information-based, comprised of knowledge workers who are self-directed specialists. Knowledge workers tend to resist command and control organizational forms. IT can be used to produce information, not just process data, which requires specialists who can work with that information. Organizations are becoming flatter with less middle management. Work is performed by task-focused teams.
