Answer to Question 1

Correct Answer: 2, 4, 5

The three forms of hospital ownership in the United States are public, private for-profit, and private nonprofit. Health care in the United States has been and continues to be mostly a nonprofit enterprise. The for-profit sector accounted for about 15 of hospital beds over the past 20 years. Germany and Japan have nonprofit health insurance organizations called sickness funds that operate the healthcare system with assistance from the government. In socialized medicine the state owns and controls the hospital systems; Britain, Sweden, and Denmark have such systems.

Answer to Question 2

Correct Answer: 1

Wireless and portable devices can bring the patient record and provider services to the point of care. This may be the patient's bedside, the lab, or the physician's office. Nurses and other providers can access the electronic medical record from any area in the facility. Personal computers, digital communication, and equipment networking refer to various components of computer usage but are not specific to access at the patient's bedside.
