How does modern medical care differ from CULTURALCARE in the medicalization of life?
 
  1. Application of the medical model and technologies to problems thought of as medical in nature
  2. Application of knowledge to the entire sociocultural and health/HEALTH context of patients
  3. Acknowledging treatment may not yield a better quality of life
  4. Non-recognition of a patient's heritage in treatment regimens.
