Answer to Question 1

Millions start each year.
Cigarette manufacturers spend more than 3.5 billion each year on advertising.
Advertising is directed at young and minority smokers.
People find it relaxing and pleasurable and use it to cope with daily stresses.

Answer to Question 2

Never push yourself through the range of a stretch to a point where you feel pain. A feeling of slight muscle pulling is okay, but pain is never a good thing when doing yoga. If you feel pain, the tissue is sending a message that it is being pulled or pushed too far. That leads to injuries and also fear connected to that pose in the future.
