Answer to Question 1

Although couples have always shared homes in informal relationships without any official ties, living together, or cohabitation, has become more common. About one quarter of unmarried women aged 25 to 39 are currently living with a partner; an additional one quarter have lived with a partner in the past. Couples live together before more than half of all marriages, a practice that was practically unknown 50 years ago. Cohabitation can be a prelude to marriage, an alternative to living alone, or an alternative to marriage.

Answer to Question 2

Human beings are diverse in all ways, including sexual preferences and practices. Physiological, psychological, and social factors determine whether we are attracted to members of the same sex or the other sex. This attraction is our sexual orientation. Heterosexual is the term used for individuals whose primary orientation is toward members of the other sex. Homosexual refers to men and women who prefer partners of their own sex. The transgender community includes individuals whose behaviors do not conform to commonly understood gender norms.

Every flu season is different, and even healthy people can get extremely sick from the flu, as well as spread it to others. The flu season can begin as early as October and last as late as May. Every person over six months of age should get an annual flu vaccine. The vaccine cannot cause you to get influenza, but in some seasons, may not be completely able to prevent you from acquiring influenza due to changes in causative viruses. The viruses in the flu shot are killed—there is no way they can give you the flu. Minor side effects include soreness, redness, or swelling where the shot was given. It is possible to develop a slight fever, and body aches, but these are simply signs that the body is responding to the vaccine and making itself ready to fight off the influenza virus should you come in contact with it.
