Signs warning visitors to use care when ice is present. Make checking the conditions in the parking lot during winter the duty of a particular department. Establish procedures for ensuring ice conditions are remedied quickly. Use traffic cones or other markers to indicate small patches of unsafe areas or to confine pedestrians to a cleared walk area.
