Answer to Question 2

The Cable TV research designed to help people stop smoking involved a series of half hour programs followed by call-in sessions. After the six weeks of the television programs, researchers assessed the degree to which smokers refrained from smoking. They also monitored the participants at 6 months, then after one year. Participants responded to mailed questionnaires and also provided saliva samples that were used to check the respondents' truth.
The results showed that more people stopped than is common in mass media campaigns, but there was substantial attrition (probably by people who continued to smoke) and substantial failure to stop smoking.

This condition is progressive and worsens with time. More than 100 million people in the United States are nearsighted, but only 20% of those are born with the condition. Diet, eye exercise, drug therapy, and corrective lenses can all help manage nearsightedness.
