 She expresses concern rather than blame with respect to Nathan's failure to complete several assignments.
 She communicates high regard for Nathan's ability

Possible benefits include the following:
 The problems encourage students to learn class material meaningfully and transfer it to real-world situations.
 Students are apt to have higher self-efficacy for successfully solving the problems if they have the assistance of a few peers.
 Students scaffold one another's efforts.
 Different students may bring different knowledge and skills to a problem
