The basic elements of weather and climate include all of the following, EXCEPT:
 
  A) the chemical composition of the air.
  B) the type and amount of cloudiness.
  C) the temperature of the air.
  D) the humidity of the air.
  E) the pressure of the air.

Question 2

Define base level and distinguish between ultimate base level and temporary (local) base level.

Base level is the lowest limit to which a stream can erode. This is ultimately sea level, if/when the stream enters the ocean (ultimate base level). However, temporary or local base levels occur wherever streams do not reach the ocean (internal drainage basins) or make stops along the way to the ocean at lakes or resistant bedrock layers.
