What is the difference between distributive justice and retributive justice?
 
  How do these two concepts affect the concept of a just society?

Question 2

John Stuart Mill believed that individuals have the right to choose their own behavior. What did Mill say was the exception to that rule?
 
  A. If the cost of personal liberty is too high for society as a whole.
  B. If the individual is behaving in a foolish, self-destructive, or reckless manner.

- Questions of justice are questions of fairness within society. How can we be fair to all citizens? When should certain citizens be treated differently?
- Distributive justice: Theory of justice dealing with how society's wealth, opportunity, and power should be distributed.
- Retributive justice: Theory of justice dealing with how societies should treat those who violate laws.
