Answer to Question 1

Three factors essential to an effective process essay are (1) the steps or
procedures must be carefully organized, step by step, and usually in the
same order as they should be carried out; (2) any information about special
materials or preliminary steps should be included; and (3) all the specific
steps should be included.

Answer to Question 2

Process can be included in narration or description. Its purpose then is to
inform or describe.
