Pick the peas of the smooth-seeded varieties before they become really thick; they are
  tender then. Pick other varieties like snow peas when they are quite young, or they will
  harden and lose some of their sweetness.
 
  a) Snow peas are better tasting than other varieties
  b) The best time to harvest peas varies depending on which variety you
  are growing.
  c) Smooth-seeded peas will thicken as they grow.
  d) Peas are a very nutritious and delicious vegetable to eat.
