The amount of time it takes for half of a number of radioactive atoms of an element to decay to a
stable daughter product.



Answer to Question 2

Alpha decay2 protons and 2 neutrons emitted from the nucleus; beta decaya fast moving electron
emitted from a neutron in the nucleus; and electron capturea proton captures an electron from the
electron shell.
