Approximately 80 of patients accept CPAP, although long-term objective compliance is fre-quently less than optimal.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: B
The AASM has operationally defined the severity of obstructive sleep apnea as follows: mild, AHI 5 to 15; moderate, AHI 15 to 30; and severe, AHI greater than 30.
