Answer to Question 1

C
Polymorphonuclear leukocytes enter the alveoli to engulf and kill the invading bacteria. Serum fluid and red blood cells will be found in the alveoli but do not kill the bacteria. Macrophages will be found in the alveoli and remove any cellular and bacterial debris.

Answer to Question 2
